Quote for the Day

"It is the main earthly business of a human being to make his home, and the immediate surroundings of his home, as symbolic and significant to his own imagination as he can." -G.K. Chesterton.

Therefore, we should all be artists.

Hopefully we would, at least in the part of the world that includes our home and its immediate surroundings.

Boy, do I feel guilty. I wonder what decorating with overflowing baskets of dirty laundry symbolize?

A timely comment! I just washed three loads of clothes yesterday. They didn't remain that visible when they were in their dirty state, since they were either in the closet, the washing machine, or the dryer. However, they did visibly "hang around for a while" in their newly cleaned state, as they aired out for a bit before being placed back in the closet. Symbolism---perhaps the cleansing of purgatory?
